Mini-break
Real Life
I sent this as a Note yesterday, but I thought I should let everybody know directly.
Note:
I will be taking a week (or so) off from Substack and writing in order to handle some things in real life.
Nothing monumental, but things that will make our lives better and easier.
I may send a Note or two, but I won’t be pushing myself to meet any writing or posting deadlines.
I know I may lose some followers and even subscribers. If so, I hope they will come back.
I will finish Songborne when I return.
I will begin posting a new story soon after I return.
Tuesday, June 9th, we find out about the next step for my husband’s back. This is a big day, and I would appreciate prayer.
I am so close to 600 followers. This may be bad timing on my part, but I am hoping to be in a better place mentally and physically at the end of this.
One of my goals is a better workspace - including a large brainstorming whiteboard. Maybe even a functioning printer, and enough open desk space to start drawing again.
We will be freeing ourselves from the boxes and filth that have taken over our lives, perhaps mirroring all of the deaths and losses in our family.
We will be creating healthier spaces for living - including places we can hang out with each other and play Switch games.
I think it is time to free ourselves from this oppressive darkness and weight that we have been living under.
Time to embrace life again.
And definitely, time to install air conditioning! At least window units.
If I have any energy at the end of the day, I will provide updates and goat reports.
I will be back before you know it.
Thank you for understanding.
Happy reading and writing to all!
